Tim Jones Challenge – the Worcester Ring.
On Saturday 29th June 2024, there
will be a Canoe / Kayak event.
Boats will be leaving the centre of Worcester between 9 and 10, then travelling down to Diglis, up the W&B canals to Hanbury, left on to the Droitwich canals then back on the Severn. We are planning to portage on the river left side (East bank) at Diglis, getting off at the muddy area just before the footbridge.
The fastest crews will complete the race in about 3 hours with the slowest taking about 8 hours.

WDUAA v YORK
SUNDAY 21ST JULY, 2024 AIRE AND CALDER CANAL,
POLLINGTON.
The Annual Contest between WDUAA and YORK continues this year, with the match taking place on the Aire and Calder Canal, at Pollington.
This year, the match will be contested by York and WDUAA.

We have received a letter from the Canal and Rivers Trust representing some of the residents of Rushton Court who’s flats and apartments back on to the Worcester & Birmingham canal between Bridge 2 (Mill Street) and Bridge 3 (Sidbury).
​
They wished to raise their concerns over the number of anglers that appear to be urinating in the hedge row with no consideration for the properties and residents that live in them on the opposite side of the canal.
We politely request that all anglers representing the WDUAA please observe the comments and observe due consideration when answering a call of nature in such residential areas.
